Choosing The Right Bathroom Sinks, Mirrors, And Cabinets

Although choosing the decor for your bathroom might not be as fun as choosing the items for some of the other rooms in your home, the way you outfit your bathroom can make a real difference to its usability as well as its appearance. You want to choose your bathroom sinks, mirrors, and cabinets wisely so that you get both an attractive room and one that is convenient to use.

There are numerous options available for bathroom sinks. You can get either a single or a double bathroom sink. You can also choose from a variety of different features. Those will small bathrooms will most likely want to stick with a single sink in order to maximize space. Double sinks are mainly useful when more than one person might be using the bathroom at the same time in order to get ready, such as in a master bath.

When it comes to cabinets, the size and shape of your bathroom are very important. Those with small or narrow bathrooms who want the extra storage that cabinets can provide should look towards cabinets that aren't as deep, as well as those that make use of vertical space. This means a tall cabinet, or one that hangs on the wall in a spot where nothing else would fit, such as above a radiator. Many times people get bathroom sinks with cabinets underneath for storage, and this is a good option if you have plenty of room in your bathroom.

As for mirrors, they are very useful to have in the bathroom since this allows you to be able to complete your grooming more easily. If you frequently get dressed in the bathroom, it would be nice to have a full length mirror on the back of the bathroom door. Otherwise, a mirror above the sink is the most common option. There are some bathroom vanities that come with matching mirrors, which can make the bathroom look so much nicer and more put together than just hanging a metal medicine cabinet with a mirror on the front over the sink.

When choosing bathroom sinks, mirrors, and cabinets, it is important to consider the look of the bathroom as a whole. You want everything to look nice together and go with the decor that you are choosing for your bathroom. You can look on the internet to get an idea of the wide variety of products available, whether or not you plan to purchase them online. There are also many design websites that you can use to get a good idea of what looks nice together.

If your house has while flooring I would stay with a whitish color, and not make the dark tiles. But that's me and it's all a question of personal preference

Hi Dexter
No You are not making a mistake. The flooring in the bathroom can be different from the rest of the house because it's a "special" room. Go ahead and make them dark

I'm remodeling my bath right now and wanted to ask a question - is it OK to have dark flooring tiles in the bathroom, although all the flooring in my house is white? I really like to know if I'm making a mistake here. thanks
